Last-Minute Sponsor Swoops In

Soccer USA is providing ACSA with prize soccer balls for division champions and also helping out with just-in-case gear that ACSA will have available at the park this weekend. If you forgot anything head to the check-in/shirt area for all your emergency gear needs.

Schedule Now Available

The schedule has been finalized for the 2011 Texas Coed Soccer Brawl! Here's everything you need to know to have a successful tournament this weekend...

GAMES
Each team will play four (Division 1) or five (Division 2) round robin games, each with two thirty minute halves. Final games will be regulation 45 minute halves or team's choice.

Games will be at Northeast Metro Park in Pflugerville, Texas. Maps TO and WITHIN the park are a click away.

DIVISIONS
The tournament will have two divisions - a competitive division (Division 1) and a recreational division (Division 2).

ROSTER
All players must have a valid player card from a USSF sanctioned league and be at least 18 years old. Tournament passes are required for non-USSF players for $10.

TOURNAMENT PASSES
Tournament passes must be purchased by each individual player and must be used in addition to a photo ID at all games. Passes are to be purchased at one of the check-in times. Cash only.

TEAM CHECK-IN
Team check-in will be available Friday, March 11 5:00-9:00pm at Weirdo’s in north Austin and Saturday, March 12 7:45-8:45am at Northeast Metro Park. Final rosters and all player cards are due at check-in, as is travel documentation for traveling teams.

Weirdo’s
12408 N Mopac Hwy
Austin, TX 78758

UNIFORMS
Team colors are included in the schedule. ACSA recommends that you bring alternate jerseys. In the event of a jersey conflict, the designated home team is responsible for changing.

All players must have similar colors shirts with a distinctive number on the back matching the roster. No two players from the same team may have the same jersey number.

Goalkeepers must wear a distinctive color from both teams and the referee. In the event of a conflict, the referee is required to change colors.

All players must wear shin guards.

TRAINING
An athletic trainer from SELECT PT will be on-site at NEMP for the duration of the tournament. She’ll be able to help you with some first aid and treatment recommendations as needed.

For anybody with existing injuries, she’s also available to help with pre-game taping as time permits. Bring your own tape and pre-wrap to the Select PT tent before your game and she’ll get you set up.

CONCESSIONS
Austin-based food vendors LIL MAMA and PEACHED TORTILLA will be at NEMP for your convenience. It’s highly likely additional concessions will be available through youth leagues also using the park. Other options can be found a short drive away; ask for directions at check-in or find an ACSA tournament volunteer.

Glass is not permitted at the park; trash cans are provided for your convenience.

SHIRTS
Tournament shirts will be available at the fields for $10 (tee) or $15 (3/4 sleeve). Please bring cash!

TO DO
The Texas Coed Soccer Brawl falls on the opening (tech and film) weekend of the South by Southwest festival this year.

Select PT to provide on-site athletic training

Please welcome our first Silver Sponsor for the 2011 Texas Coed Soccer Brawl, Select PT. They will have a tent on-site at the tournament to provide immediate care for any injuries that occur while at the fields. Hopefully, they'll be bored senseless.

Thanks for making this tournament a success to Select PT and all of our generous sponsors!

Much thanks to Shelly, owner of Cool Chick Designs, for the badass logo and the shirt design in the works. Without her we'd be stuck with stick figures!
